Fitness & Pregnancy Workshop

Providing you with fun, functional, and evidence-based exercise training for pregnancy, birth, and life as a new mom!

 

During this workshop, we will cover a variety of topics as they pertain to exercise during pregnancy including:
  • The current Canadian exercise and pregnancy  research and guidelines
  • Frequency, intensity, duration and type of exercise  that are appropriate for the pregnant athlete
  • The 3 main “Do’s and Don’t” of exercising while  pregnant
  • Exercise variations/modifications for the athlete to  participate in CrossFit while pregnant

Stephanie Paplinskie

Owner, StrongHer Fitness

Stephanie holds a Masters Degree in Kinesiology from Western University, during which she worked as the first female assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach to the Western Football Team. Stephanie continues to work as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, specializing in resistance training during and after pregnancy — launching her own company, StrongHer Fitness, dedicated to pre-natal and post-partum fitness. She is currently a part-time course Instructor at Western University (Kinesiology) and Fanshawe College (Fitness & Health Promotion, Massage Therapy, Language & Liberal Studies), while also pursuing her PhD in the Exercise and Pregnancy Lab under world-renouned pregnancy researcher, Dr. Michelle Mottola.
